SOiL Involved in Bus Crash
SOiL, the hard rock band famous for songs such as Halo, Pride, Deny Me, Last Chance and Shine On, got into a bus crash over the weekend.
Don’t worry, nobody got hurt. Just the band’s pride got kicked in the balls.
Apparently the tour manager screamed “like a 12-year old girl at a Justin Bieber concert”.
The crash happened near Des Moines in Iowa, USA, on their way from a concert at 4:30am on Sunday morning.
According to the SOiL frontman, and former Drowning Pool singer, Ryan McCombs, he held onto his pillow during the crash thinking it will save him from whatever would happen next. “I find it interesting that as everyone sits around the stranded bus talking about what was going through their heads,” says McCombs. “All I can remember is gripping my pillow like it was going to save me from whatever was about to occur.”
This comes after McCombs himself suffered a major stroke last year. He was rushed to the hospital before he went into a full-blown seizure, and the attack’s after effects were minimized.
McCombs posted the following on Facebook after the crash:
At 4:33 AM the last thing you want to hear in your bunk is a combination of the driver yelling “HOLD ON!!”, the sound of the bus flying off of the highway and The Jake (tour manager) screaming like a 12 year old girl at a Justin Beiber concert.. I find it interesting that as everyone sits around the stranded bus talking about what was going through their heads all I can remember is gripping my pillow like it was going to save me from whatever was about to occur and thinking “….huh….” No serious injuries.. Just a bus full of arseholes that for the most part are happy to be alive and now just making fun of each other for their responses.. We really are a bunch of fu*kwads…
Well we are glad they are okay.
